Today, we load up the camping gear on the gravel bike and cut across the mountain pass separating Blind Bay and Herald Provincial Park. Follow along on my very first solo bikepacking adventure in British Columbia as I attempt to navigate heavy rain, deep mud, and overgrown single-track trails before camping at Herald Park, right on the scenic shores of Shuswap Lake.This route takes us through some beautiful and challenging terrain, pushing my gear and endurance to the limit. Edit: The leg where I end up in the gravel pit is decommissioned and is private property. This was not on the GPS map I used (Gaia) and the new bike trail to the east was not on the map either.
